On the 7th March 2021 we'd raised £5,640 with 13 supporters in 14 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
If we reach £5000 we will be able to provide tested cricket kit across our entire portfolio, meaning pads and gloves at more accessible prices.
The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for millions of British small businesses, which is going to make it very challenging for businesses to survive.
The brainchild of Wayne Lockey, Managing Director, founded in 2017. Redfoot Sports was started with the aim of providing quality cricket equipment to players and clubs in the UK at affordable prices. Since then, Toby Beresford-Power joined the ranks as a Co-Director and we have grown year on year supplying sports clubs from Cornwall to Cumbria and Southampton to Sydney (Australia). We have cricket players on the professional and international circuit using our kit, as well as a partnership with a high-performance cricket academy in South Africa. We offer exceptional sports equipment & customisable clothing. We specialise in cricket, but also supply kit for various other sports, including (but not limited to) football, rugby, hockey, tennis, golf and boxing as well as workwear. We also offer a range of including glasses & sunglasses.
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic has had more of an impact than we ever expected on our supply chain and our business operation. At this time, we are closed as a non-essential retail business and following government guidelines. We hope to be able to open when the current lockdown restrictions are lifted, but we are now faced with the unprecidented task of delivering orders that are held up from suppliers who are also in lockdown. We also need to be able to stock our shops ready for the cricket season. On top of all of this, Legislation has changed categorising cricket kit as category 2 PPE. We want to ensure our kit is tested to the highest safety standards. We are being forced to get our pads/gloves safety tested over and above standard manufacturer tests due to a classification change from 'Class 1' to 'Class 2' PPE - a change that happened under the radar.
We want to continue providing top quality cricket kit, safely, for customers at affordable prices. With your support we will be able to bounce back after this lockdown, import our kit quickly and supply our customers with pads and gloves tested to the latest safety standards.
