Aim

Help Enniskillen Gaels finish our youth pitch with goals and an artificial path, giving local kids a safe place to play, train and thrive.

Who are we?

We are Enniskillen Gaels GAA Club, one of the largest and fastest-growing clubs in Fermanagh. With hundreds of young boys and girls training every week, we are proud to be at the heart of our community, providing opportunities for children to learn, play, and enjoy Gaelic games in a safe and supportive environment. Our vision is simple: to give every child in Enniskillen the chance to develop their skills, make friends, and fall in love with sport.

We are also committed to supporting young adults, adults and older people through a range of sporting programmes which include recreational and competitive GAA activities. Our sports development plan proposes to create pathways for children to stay involved within Club activities until they are older. We also want to run new programmes and activities which bring in new members.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Over the past year, we’ve been working tirelessly to deliver a new  training pitch at Brewster Park. Thanks to the support of our members, volunteers, and community, we’ve already completed 90% of the work — including a newly laid grass pitch, fencing, modern LED floodlights, and stop nets.

The pitch is due to open in March 2026, but to get across the finish line we need your help with the final stage:

  • Purchasing 4 sets of GAA goals for youth matches and training
  • Completing a safe side path with artificial grass for year-round access.
    • The current surface is finished with quarry dust, which poses the risk of becoming run down and turning into a health and safety hazard over time. As the surface deteriorates, access to the facility will become increasingly restricted - particularly for the underrepresented groups it was designed to serve. These include young children, women and girls, people with disabilities, adults, and older people.
    • To complete the facility and ensure long-term, safe, and inclusive use, we propose installing a durable artificial grass surface. This solution will improve accessibility, reduce hazards, and promote equal opportunities in sport.

This is why we’re crowdfunding. By supporting us, you’ll be helping us finish a project that will make a huge difference to our grassroots sports development and the wider Enniskillen community.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We are aiming to raise £25,000 to complete the development. Here’s how the money will be spent:

  • 4 sets of GAA goals (youth sizes) – approx. £12,500
  • Artificial Grass path for access to training pitch and connecting to main pitch – approx. £12,500

Every pound raised goes directly towards finishing the youth pitch. Thanks to Sport NI’s Olympic Legacy Fund, your donation could be quadrupled — every £1 you give can become up to £4.

Community impact

This new youth pitch is about more than just football - it’s about community, health, and opportunity.

  • Youth development: Over 600 children and teenagers in Enniskillen will benefit directly, with more space to train and play. For example, more sessions will be offered, pitch provision will be readily available and we will be able to deliver on our sports development plan, targeting underrepresented groups, such as children in areas of high social need, sports programmes for over 50's, sport for people with additional needs, women and girls and sports for ethnic minority groups.
  • Inclusivity: We are installing a safe artificial grass access path running along the side of the new youth pitch. This path will connect the main entrance to the training area, the main patch and the new heath & wellbeing hub ensuring year-round access in all weather conditions. The artificial grass surface has been chosen for its durability, low maintenance, and ability to provide safe passage for players, coaches, families, and visitors — including wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. This improvement will make the pitch more inclusive, safer, and sustainable for the long term.
  • Community wellbeing: The pitch will be available year-round, supporting children to stay active, healthy, and socially connected.
  • Legacy: The project will deliver a lasting facility that benefits future generations of Enniskillen Gaels and the wider community.

How you can play your part

There are three simple ways to help us reach our target and make this project a reality:

Make a pledge – Don’t delay if you’re going to support us, because momentum is key!

Spread the word – Share our project on social media and tell your friends and family. The more people we reach, the stronger we become.

Offer rewards – Local businesses can donate items or vouchers that we can offer back to supporters. We’ll give you a big shout-out!

Together, we can open our new youth pitch in March 2026 and give Enniskillen’s kids the space they deserve to play, train, and shine.
