Who are we?
We are the England Endurance Squad, a dedicated team of riders and horses representing England in the Home Internationals (HI). Our passion for the sport and commitment to excellence drive us to compete at the highest levels. We pride ourselves on our teamwork, resilience, and the bond we share with our horses. Our squad includes riders of all ages and experience levels, all united by a common goal: to represent England with pride and achieve victory at the HI.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are seeking your support to help us compete in the 2024 Home Internationals in Ireland. The costs associated with transporting our horses across the water have risen significantly. We need to help cover expenses such as paperwork, health certificates, fuel, and the ferry. These costs are substantial and, without additional funding, will be a significant barrier for many of our riders.
The recent cost of living crisis has also impacted our squad, making it harder to cover these essential expenses. By raising funds, we aim to subsidise these costs and ensure that riders across all levels can participate and represent England.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Transparency is key, and we want our supporters to know exactly how their donations will be used. The funds raised will primarily go towards:
- Transportation costs, including ferry fees and fuel
- Necessary paperwork and health certificates for horses
- Subsidising travel and accommodation expenses for our riders and support team
Every pound raised will directly support our squad, enabling us to compete effectively and safely in Ireland.
Community impact
The England Endurance Squad is more than just a competitive team; we are a vibrant part of the equestrian community. Our activities benefit a wide range of people, from young aspiring riders to seasoned competitors. We also engage with local communities through educational events, training clinics, and public demonstrations, promoting the sport of endurance riding and fostering a love for horses.
