We’re raising awareness of Endometriosis by holding a Family Fun Day at Park Community School, Havant - help make the day a reality!
We're bringing our community together for a Family Fun Day at Park Community School on Saturday, 15th August, and we'd love your support to make it happen.
This isn't just a fun day out (although it absolutely is that too!). It's a chance to raise awareness of Endometriosis, a painful and often disabling condition that affects 1 in 10 women and people assigned female at birth. Despite its severe effects, it takes an average of 8 years to get diagnosed - meaning that people often go without the help and support they desperately need.
By bringing families, local businesses, and community organisations together in a relaxed, welcoming setting, we can change that.
What's Happening on the Day?
We've planned a busy programme of activities from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, with something for everyone. We're providing:
• A sports hall full of bouncy castles and inflatables
• Outdoor activities
• Short, accessible talks on Endometriosis and wellbeing in the lecture hall
• Food vendors, table-top sales, and local business stalls
• A raffle on the day
• A printed Event Day Booklet for every attendee
Who Are We?
Endometriosis South Coast is a registered charity working to raise awareness of Endometriosis and support those living with the condition. We're based in Portsmouth and provide support to people across the South Coast region and beyond.
We believe that awareness begins in communities - whether in our online or in-person support groups, schools, at local events, or in everyday conversations. The Family Fun Day aims to build community in a way that's accessible, inclusive, and open to everyone.
What Will Your Money Pay For?
The Family Fun Day is free to attend, but putting on a safe, high-quality event for our community takes real investment. Every pound raised through this Crowdfunder will go directly towards making the day happen.
We're seeking funds to cover the venue hire across the sports hall, lecture hall, and sports field at Park Community School; inflatables and supervised activities for children; a PA and AV system for the talks; insurance and site staffing; and all printed materials and signage. We’re also planning a printed Event Day Booklet for every attendee, so they leave with something to take home and share.
We’re also seeking sponsorship and income from stall holders and food vendors on the day, but crowdfunding is a vital part of making the finances work – and it means that keeping entry completely free stays a realistic option for us.
Any surplus raised beyond our costs will be reinvested directly into our wider charitable work, funding awareness campaigns, educational resources, and community support groups for people living with Endometriosis and those who care for and about them.
Your pledge, however large or small, helps us open the doors on 15th August and keep them open for everyone.
Every Pledge Matters
Whether you can give £5, £10, or more, your support shows that Endometriosis matters, that community matters, and that together we can create change for people living with Endometriosis. Please make a pledge today and help us bring this day to life.
Thank you.
