Endometriosis. In April we’ve been approached to perform at a conference for Endo healthcare specialists from across the UK.
We've been approached to perform at a conference for Endometriosis healthcare specialists from across the UK .
Who are we?

We're Lancashire People's Theatre - a Lancashire based theatre company who tell the stories of real people. Our annual monologue project, "Lancashire Briefs", consistently draws sellout crowds as part of the "Lancashire Fringe Festival", which hosts some of the best contemporary performance shows in the UK.
Why Endometriosis?
Our Director, Anthea, supported by her husband Neil, has been blighted by endometriosis for most of her adult life. She's endured multiple surgeries, countless hospital visits, sepsis and debilitating pain.
Endometriosis affects more than 1,500,000 women in the UK and numbers are rising as awareness of this debilitating condition increases. We want to tell their stories to the professionals who care for them.
Our aim is to educate medical professionals - showing them that endometriosis symptoms don't stop when people leave the consultation room. Our play will show the impact this disease has on sufferers in their everyday lives, and how devastating it can become to their personal relationships.
How did we do it?
We asked people with Endometriosis to share their experiences, both with their disease, and with the medical professionals they encounter. Our writer then collated over 100 responses, and wrote a moving short play based on these lived experiences.
Who is our audience?
We?ll be taking our work to the people who need to hear it the most at a conference for Endometriosis Healthcare Specialists so they can grasp the struggle of living with, and caring for, people with Endometriosis.
