We are Kazzum Arts and we provide opportunities for children and young people who have lived through adverse childhood experiences to access workshops full of creative activities with a community focus.
Why are we crowdfunding?
This year Kazzum Arts turns 35! It’s a big age and we want to make sure we celebrate it creatively. Instead of cake and gifts and parties which celebrate the past, we’ve decided to use our 35th year celebrations to gain support for the future of our work.
And to do this, we need a little help from you.
Over the past few years Kazzum we have seen increasing need and a more competitive funding landscape. Our goal has always been simple – to support the wellbeing of children and young people facing adversity through access to creativity; but crisis after crisis has hit the UK, meaning that the children and young people we support are relying upon our workshops more than ever before.
More funding means more workshops, better materials and ultimately more children empowered to achieve post-traumatic growth.
A little bit more about us...
Over the last 35 years we have supported children and young people in many different trauma-impacted contexts, ranging from migrant and refugee community groups, children on hospital wards and children with speech and learning needs in schools. Our workshops build confidence, wellbeing and communication skills through creative activities. We work with multidisciplinary artists who are trained in -trauma-informed delivery and can support children and young people to achieve their full potential.
