Who We Are

My name is Egeba Ine Duke, and I am the founder of EmpowerHer Life, a social enterprise dedicated to promoting awareness and education about female reproductive health. Our mission is to address the lack of support and understanding many women face regarding conditions like Fibroids, Adenomyosis, and Endometriosis. My personal experience with these conditions revealed a significant gap in awareness and resources, leading to the creation of EmpowerHer Life. We strive to provide a comprehensive understanding of these illnesses, ensuring they receive the attention and care they deserve.

What We Are Doing

At EmpowerHer Life, we are committed to developing educational resources for our community to further raise awareness around female reproductive health. Our goal is to ensure that every woman has access to essential information and support regarding these issues. We aim to amplify and increase the accessibility of public health messages through both digital and non-digital social networking, reaching the most affected groups.

We're crowdfunding to raise £500 to fund our pilot project!

Who needs our help?

Our target beneficiaries include women from migrant backgrounds, young girls from deprived backgrounds, and homeless women who might not have access to healthcare or understand their rights to accessing the NHS.

I care deeply about these groups because they often face significant barriers to receiving the care and support they need. Women from migrant backgrounds may encounter language and cultural obstacles, young girls from deprived backgrounds might lack essential health education and resources, and homeless women frequently struggle to access consistent healthcare and support services.

By supporting these women and girls, we can help them understand their healthcare rights, access the NHS, and lead healthier, more empowered lives. I am eager to see a world where women’s reproductive health issues are taken seriously and addressed with the urgency and importance they deserve.

Our initiatives include:

  • Regular Workshops: Conducting workshops to highlight potential health issues related to female reproductive health.
  • Campaigning for Routine Diagnoses: Advocating for more routine diagnoses to facilitate early treatments and healthy living plans, preventing the need for more invasive and life-changing treatments later on.
  • Recognition of High Priority: Working towards gaining recognition of the importance of these conditions within primary health care services.
  • Fighting Stigma: Actively combating the stigma surrounding female reproductive health issues.
  • Providing Hygienic Sanitary Products: Targeting women in underserved communities, including the homeless, immigrants, and minority groups, ensuring they have access to essential sanitary products.

Why It's Important

The motivation behind EmpowerHer Life is to break the stigma associated with female reproductive health conditions. By providing hygienic sanitary products to homeless women, immigrant girls, and women suffering from these conditions, we aim to create awareness and offer practical support. Our efforts focus on helping women manage and mitigate these health issues effectively.

How You Can Help

We are currently crowdfunding to raise £500 to run our first workshop in London, develop educational resources such as flyers and distribute free sanitary pads.

Your contributions will help us:

  • Secure a venue: Find a fantastic spot in London to bring our community together
  • Create content: Basic information about female reproductive health conditions like Fibroids, Adenomyosis, and Endometriosis, symptoms, treatment options, and preventive measures.
  • Distribution: Local health clinics, religious places of worship, community centres, libraries, and schools.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to empowering women and educating communities.

Thank you for considering a donation to EmpowerHer Life. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of women facing these challenges. Your support is invaluable in our mission to empower and educate women about their reproductive health.
