Aim: Globally Onward supports qualified immigrants and refugees to overcome the hurdles they can often face in finding professional jobs.
It is estimated that there are around 887,000 highly educated foreign born professionals in the UK working in low and medium low skilled jobs. (Source: Oxford University Migration Observatory)
Globally Onward is a newly formed Community Interest Company set up to provide practical support through our mentoring and coaching programme to help professionally qualified immigrants and refugees to overcome the hurdles they can often face in finding and securing career opportunities in the UK that match their skills and qualifications. We also aim to encourage businesses and organisations to value diversity and inclusion, in other words to reflect the people they serve.

Globally Onward was founded by Iulia Arhire in response to the challenges she has faced herself as a professionally qualified migrant to the UK, saying:
"After 10 years as an immigrant in the UK, I believe that change is needed to expose employers to the rich pool of professional talent contained within the immigrant and refugee population in the UK. Globally Onward is that change. An organisation that can bring employers and professional immigrants and refugees together to meet each other’s needs."
Our free one-to-one career coaching & mentoring service provides professionally qualified immigrants and refugees with guidance and support to help them navigate the UK job market.

As a newly established Community Interest Company based in East Anglia we are looking for a small amount of funding to help get ourselves established in the region and to be able to provide our services on a sustainable basis.
We currently have two staff, both of whom are working on a voluntary basis, and our business model is based upon employers paying a fee should they employ a person from our pool of professionally qualified immigrants and refugees.
