Globally Onward is a newly formed Community Interest Company set up to provide practical support through our mentoring and coaching programme to help professionally qualified immigrants and refugees to overcome the hurdles they can often face in finding and securing career opportunities in the UK that match their skills and qualifications. We also aim to encourage businesses and organisations to value diversity and inclusion, in other words to reflect the people they serve.
Our mission
Globally Onward is on a mission to:
- break the employment barriers for skilled immigrants and refugees and integrate them into the professional workforce; and
- encourage businesses and organisations to value diversity and inclusion, in other words to reflect the people they serve.
Globally Onward was founded by Iulia Arhire in response to the challenges she has faced herself as a professionally qualified migrant to the UK, saying:
"After 10 years as an immigrant in the UK, I believe that change is needed to expose employers to the rich pool of professional talent contained within the immigrant and refugee population in the UK. Globally Onward is that change. An organisation that can bring employers and professional immigrants and refugees together to meet each other’s needs."

Why donate to Globally Onward?
As a newly established Community Interest Company based in East Anglia we are looking for a small amount of funding to help get ourselves established in the region and to be able to provide our services on a sustainable basis.
We currently have two staff, both of whom are working on a voluntary basis, and our business model is based upon employers paying a fee should they employ a person from our pool of professionally qualified immigrants and refugees.
Without any start-up capital, we need funding to help with costs such as:
- advertising and marketing to reach our target audience of professionally qualified immigrants and refugees (we have exhausted the possibilities for doing so through free social media posting)
- the building of a secure database to store details of our professionally qualified immigrant and refugee job seekers
- travel costs to attend and produce materials for events such as local business networking fora, local colleges, and community organisations.
