Be the first to receive Emma’s new solo violin album with The Night With...! Featuring extraordinary new music by five composers!
Emma Lloyd is an acclaimed violinist and composer whose artistry has been celebrated across the UK and beyond. As a passionate advocate for contemporary music, Emma specialises in crafting and performing innovative works for solo violin and electronics. Over the years, she has collaborated with some of the most exciting composers and artists in the field, including Egidija Medeksaite, Rylan Gleave, Emilie Girard Charest, and Matthew Whiteside. Now, she is embarking on her most ambitious project to date: her debut album.
This album is more than just a recording—it’s a celebration of groundbreaking contemporary music that challenges boundaries and brings new perspectives to the violin’s rich tradition, stretching what is possible on the instrument. Featuring a collection of new works commissioned by Emma and The Night With..., including one of Emma’s own compositions, the album will be recorded, mixed, and mastered by long term collaborator Timothy Cooper.
But this project isn’t just about the music—it’s about connection. Supported by Beyond Borders funding, Emma will be taking this album on tour across the UK and Ireland in spring and summer 2025 with concerts in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin and Merthyr Tydfil. While the tour is supported through PRSF Beyond Borders, the album recording and release isn't.
This is where we need your help. Your contribution will help cover the costs of the post-production and marketing of the album, as well as allow us to create a unique physical product. What's more is that this crowdfunder is matched by Creative Scotland, so every pound pledged (up to £250) is Our aim is to have the album released in March in advance for the first tour dates.
