On the 15th April 2021 we'd raised £340 with 6 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
There is a reason this row is dubbed the "World's Toughest row". It has taken 3 years and amazing support to get to the point we are at now. To make it to the start line there are a number of important steps to tick off- the main one being having a fully kitted boat! Percy is not just any boat she is a self-righting 24ft home for 7 gruelling weeks. She will be our home gym, our lounge, our bedroom and our playground. She will protect us from the 40ft waves, the sharks and the Marlin attacks.
When the going gets tough she is our lifeline and our means to communicating with our families, our team of professionals and you- our incredible supporters as we complete this challenge as the first ever married couple in TWAC.
This row means so much to us- it is a platform to undertake our physiological and psychological research into the differences between males and females in ultra-endurance events and more importantly the platform to raise £100,000 for our frontline medical charities.
This crowdfunding page is to get us to the start line so we can race to the finish line and hopefully secure the mixed pair world record.
