To provide Cost of Living crisis support to mums who have experienced domestic violence or coercive control.
1 in 4 women will be affected by domestic abuse in their life time. Women who share children with their abuser will often continue to endure ongoing abuse, even after the relationship has ended. This can create a devastating impact on mental health and everyday life.
Mums In Need supports women and their children in the Sheffield area who experience coercive control. Our vision is to support these families with their mental health and wellbeing following traumatic events, and are still required to remain in contact with their abusers because of the children. We seek to empower them to rebuild their lives in the aftermath.
Our aim is to give our Mums support to become financially independent, and this winter it will be harder than ever. We want to raise funds to provide mums and vulnerable children with emergency food parcels and help towards to rising costs of energy bills. We don't want anyone to face the choice between heating and eating this winter. We don't want any of our mums to fall into debt because of their bills.
We don't want anyone to return to an abusive relationship because they cannot afford not to. Please help our mums in need.
