ELSA Pod

Aim

We are currently raising money to fund the new emotional literacy support pod that will enable Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSA)

The pod will be used to support children across the whole of the school.  It will provide a safe space to go for emotional learning support and other small group work.   

ELSA acknowledges that children learn best when they feel happier and their emotional needs are being addressed.  Having the pod as a separate space within the school will help ensure that our children have the best start in life.   

Some of the benefits of ELSA include :

.        A space to talk about difficulties;

·        Interacting more successfully with others;

·        Developing greater self-awareness; managing school better; feeling positive           about self and building confidence;

·        Pupils with an ELSA feel they have been listened to and supported.

The pod itself is durable, versatile and eco friendly, with solar panels and recyclable materials used in the construction.
