Fundraising to bring even bigger and better yarn-bombing projects to Ellesmere!
The Ellesmere Yarn Bombers have been sneakily decorating the town with knitting and crochet since 2018. We usually produce a big summer display and something for Christmas, plus postbox toppers to mark special occasions throughout the year. We like to think that it brings a smile to lots of faces and also helps attract people to our beautiful little town.
In appreciation of the displays, many people have given donations via our collecting boxes in local shops. If fact, since we started, we have collected around £500 for various charities - and in 2020, when we couldn't do a yarn bomb, we created 164 pairs of hearts for end-of-life Covid-19 patients and their loved ones.
For a while, we have been dreaming of a slightly bigger plan for our Christmas display. It's going to need a custom-made framework, which is going to cost a bit. It will be re-useable, obviously. Would you help us by donating a couple of pounds?
