ella’s care boxes

hi my name is ella and I’m 11 years old.

during lockdown, i have made a few little care packages for children who, for whatever reason, might be struggling or need a bit of happiness at this time.

i don’t know the children but I just wanted to do something to give people a little bit of happiness in their day and let them know people care about them. 

i’ve been using my own Christmas and pocket money to buy the gifts. 

recently i’ve been messaging wimborne food bank and I would really love to be able to make packages for them to hand out as they don’t often get gift donations suitable for 10 - 13 year olds. 

i would also still like to keep making packages for local children or even post them to people to give them a smile. 

unfortunately my pocket money isn’t enough to fund this, so I am setting myself a challenge to raise some money so i can make some more boxes. it would be so brilliant if you were able to donate some money towards my cause. 

the challenge - 

as I am 11 years old, i’m setting myself an ‘11 themed’ challenge. to complete 11 miles on my bike/exercise bike, 11,000 steps and 11 hours sleep (this will be the hardest bit) every day for 11 days! my challenge is going to start on Saturday 20th March 2021. 

all money raised will go towards making the boxes. they will be aimed at 10-13 year olds, both boys and girls but i can do them for other age groups too. 

if there is any money left over, it will be donated to Wimborne Food Bank.
