Polls point to Ely & East Cambs being a three way marginal, any of the main parities could win. We have a fantastic, local candidate in Elizabeth McWilliams. She already has a great track-record of turning up, speaking up and never giving up.
As a relatively small, rural CLP, Ely & East Cambs Labour do not have access to the same kinds of sums to invest in campaigning as our opponents, and at this General Election, we risk being vastly outspent. Without money to spend on leaflets and other materials to put our case to voters, we may be denied the opportunity to see a Labour MP here, working within Government for residents of Ely & East Cambs.
