Aim

I am rolling the London Marathon with support runners, but I am aiming to roll 5k of the marathon unassisted (1k at a time with breaks)

On the 26th of April 2026, me and 3 support runners will make our way to the start line of the London marathon! I am a wheelchair user, and I remember as a kid seeing the london marathon come through my local area and thinking 'one day I am going to do that'... but as I got older I became more unwell and my dream of rolling this iconic race became unachievable..

Until it didn't!

I found out about assisted running places, this means I will have a group of support runners with me on the day of the marathon pushing me most of the way, but what is the London Marathon without a little bit of a challenge?

I am aiming to roll 5k without support!

This might not sound like a long way, but as a wheelchair user I have NEVER rolled that far - I won't be able to do it in one go, but my aim is that throughout the course my arms will be pushing for 5k of it!

It'll be the first marathon ever for many of my support runners too! This isn't about doing it in the fastest time, or being amazing runners, its all about doing it as a team and having a good time while we are at it!

It felt important to me to raise money for charity while doing this challenge. Medical care is vital for everyone, and so many people are denied access, particularly in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics.

MSF is an international humanitarian organisation providing medical care in more than 75 countries. Since 1971, they have been treating people caught in complex crises and chronic healthcare emergencies around the world.

From the paediatric nurses to the off-road drivers, they are experts at working in fast-moving and highly-insecure environments. So, whether it's launching a rapid response or delivering community care, they go wherever we are needed most.

In 2024, they admitted more than 1.6 million people to their hospitals and held more than 16.4 million consultations, including at mobile clinics and in refugee camps.

This care is vital for those in need so please donate if you are able! We are aiming to raise £1,000 for this amazing cause!
