The aim of our project is to purchase an electronic rolling machine for our bowls mats to make life easier for our members and avoid injury
We are a village Short Mat Bowls Club, based in Earls Barton, Northants consisting of mainly members over the age of 60, with many in their 70s and 80s and even a few in their 90s

We need to raise £8000 to purchase an electronic mat rolling machine as the mats are very heavy and many of our members struggle to manually roll up the mats after play. If we can raise £4000 from at least 25 unique supporters then we'll be able to access a £4000 conditional award offered by Sport England's Movement Fund.
If you're applying for extra funding, this is a good place to demonstrate why your project is eligible so refer back to the criteria to help complete this section

Once we have reached our target we will be able to order the machine and alleviate any danger of injuries to our members.
Our club is important not just for the physical exercise our members get playing the sport of Short Mat Bowls, it is also important from the social aspects and their general well being.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
