Aim

We want to play our part in protecting our environment by purchasing a 100% electric wheelchair accessible vehicle.

TRIP has spent many years caring for our local communities, helping to reduce loneliness and isolation with services such as transport and Befriending. But we also recognise that for our community to be healthy, our environment also needs to be healthy. That is why TRIP is investing in a new 100% electric vehicle to add to our fleet. This new wheelchair accessible vehicle will replace one of our 17-year old vehicles providing not only a better experience for our passengers but also zero emissions.

Our vision is to be the first community groups to embrace technology and provide an electric wheelchair vehicle.  This innovative e- vehicle will replace the current 17-year old vehicle and join our fleet to help provide over 35,000 transport requests a year.  The total cost to purchase is £35,000, and the great news is we have already raised £17,500.  This fundraiser will help to raise the final £20,000 needed to purchase the vehicle, plus help with our administration costs such as keeping the phone lines open and supporting our team of fantastic volunteers. (update- target charged as we have had some direct donation to TRIP)
