We are raising money to help us fight to keep Jess as the MP for Birmingham Yardley in the 2019 general election.
Since 2015 I have been the MP for the place where all of my family grew up and lived. In that short time we have brought millions of pounds in to the area to help support those living in difficult circumstances and to help protect and develop local charities and services like youth groups, children's road safety schemes. We have helped 21000 people in need with advice services, debt advice, domestic abuse services and disability discrimination and many other things. In Parliament I have fought for justice for the families of the Birmingham Pub Bombings, changed the laws and regulations to help thousands of victims of domestic violence and stood up for the people who fight to get their voice heard. I have tried to be brave, said what I really thought. It hasn't always been easy.
More than anything I wanted people to believe that politics was about them and was not a game to played by wealthy people in Westminster. So to carry on I need your help. I don't want democracy to be the hobby of only those who can afford it. I fought and won the seat in 2015 and 2017 with donations collected from ordinary people and with the help of hundreds of volunteers from my community. Please give as little or as much as you can.
