We're still collecting donations
On the 11th July 2024 we'd raised £850 with 17 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Everyone knows the Green Party has the best policies on nature and climate - but those aren’t the only things we care about! From the cost of living and affordable housing to health and the environment, it's only the Green Party standing strong on bold policies for real change - not just minor tweaks around the edges of a failed, broken system.
As the other parties slide ever closer to the Conservatives, the Green Party has remained a strong voice for the transformative policies we desperately need. We have been consistently making the right calls, whether on public services or tackling inequality, cutting bills or a ceasefire in Gaza. You can read here how the Green Party is pushing for real change in our 2024 manifesto designed to "invest to mend broken Britain".
This time round, many voters felt that they had to vote tactically against the worst option. This isn't the case. With the Conservatives set to lose in a landslide, we can finally vote for the policies, people and parties we believe in. There has never been a better time to support the Greens in a General Election.
Sam is actively involved with local projects and community work in and around Guildford. Most notably, he is a key member of Zero Carbon Guildford where, up until March this year, he was a trustee.
After working at Surrey University for several years, he became an intensive care researcher in 2019 and spent the pandemic working on several covid studies. Last year he switched careers into home energy efficiency. Sam also founded and runs a Community Library, along with other volunteer work – water testing on the Wey, helping to run ZERO’s Community Fridge, carrying out free home energy surveys, regular local litterpicking, and much more.
Sam is a Guildfordian from birth, and has been a Green Party member since his first general election vote in 2010. He aims to make Guildford a better place to live and work in for all people by advocating for evidence based, equitable and environmentally sound solutions. Some of the key Green Party policies he is passionate about include the following.
We must take water back into public ownership to be run for the public good, not for private profit. This is the only way to end sewage dumping, clean up our waterways, cut bills, and stop the endless water outages.
We are the only party that calls to reverse NHS privatisation. We will also put mental health on parity with physical health, make all essential dentistry free, and invest in social and community care.
Insulate all homes as soon as possible to cut bills and health problems, and help end fuel poverty. Invest in cheap, clean renewables for genuine energy security and an end to expensive, polluting fossil fuels.
Local authorities and national government need to work together to deliver homes people can afford to rent or buy, where people need them. Our Right Homes, Right Place, Right Price Charter will simultaneously protect valuable green space for communities, reduce climate emissions, tackle fuel poverty and provide genuinely affordable housing.
Green MPs will always defend our democratic and human rights, uphold the rule of law and tackle political corruption. We will also push for the UK to become a modern, functional and more representative democracy, including using proportional representation so that all votes matter, and our government actually reflects what people vote for.
Take public transport back into public hands to cut fares and improve services, so that we can end dependency on cars and cut traffic and air pollution.
Introduce a wealth tax on billionaires to raise over £50 billion a year to support spending on public services and tackling inequality.
Unlike other parties, we aren't funded by big business and vested interests. We are powered by people like you.
We can't do this without you. Are you with us?
P.S. Because we're a political party we're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500. And if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know. They will make this information available on their website. All donations go to general campaigning funds.
