There is nothing more important to me than independence. I’m standing to be your SNP candidate because I believe I understand what our party needs to keep momentum in the independence movement.

We must continue to build support for independence and confidence in the SNP Government. That means electing MSPs with energy, passion, and unwavering commitment—people who won’t shy away from bold ideas or radical policies. I want to help shape a party that embraces renewal and isn't afraid of robust, healthy debate that challenges us to be our best—for Scotland.

This election is a crucial opportunity. We need to stand up to the UK Labour government and its harmful impact on ordinary Scots—and fight for our communities. But most of all, we need MSPs who will fight for independence, because we know that’s the only path to lasting, transformative change for Scotland.

That begins here. This seat isn’t guaranteed, and to keep independence high on the agenda, we need to win every vote. That means campaigning hard—and I’m ready for it.

As a councillor already representing nearly half of this new constituency, I’ve had overwhelming support from across the area. I'm proud to be backed by former local MP Tommy Sheppard, who said:
