Aim

Help re-elect Jeremy Balfour as an Independent voice for Edinburgh and Lothians East

It has been the greatest honour of my life to represent Lothian in the Scottish Parliament. During my time in office, I have worked to stand up for Edinburgh and the wider region, while ensuring that the voices of vulnerable and Disabled people are heard — something too often overlooked by Scotland’s major parties.

I am proud of that record, but there is more to do. As I seek re-election as an Independent candidate for Edinburgh and Lothians East, I want to build on this by continuing to stand up for local communities and to be a strong and consistent voice for Disabled people in political decision-making.

Remaining Independent is central to that mission. By not being tied to any party, I can continue to speak up for the Lothians without compromise; answering only to the people I have the privilege to represent. It means focusing on practical solutions, putting constituents first and ensuring that local concerns are not lost in wider political agendas.

My priorities are clear, practical and achievable, focused on making a real difference in people’s lives. From improving local services to promoting fairness, inclusion and opportunity, I am determined to deliver outcomes that truly matter.

I will be fighting for a fair deal for Edinburgh and Lothians East throughout this campaign, and with your support we can continue that work. Any donation, no matter the size, will go a long way in helping ensure every voice is heard and properly represented.

By donating to this campaign, you confirm that you are a permissible donor under UK electoral law. Specifically, for any donation over £50, you must be an individual registered on a UK electoral register (including overseas electors) or an entity such as a UK-registered company or trade union. We are legally required to verify the identity and permissibility of all donors who give more than £50 within 30 days of receipt; if we cannot verify this, your donation must be returned. Please be aware that if you donate more than £50, your name and the amount of your donation will be recorded in our election return. Donations to political campaigns are not tax-deductible.

In the event that the campaign concludes with surplus funds after all election expenses and debts have been paid, these funds will be disposed of in accordance with Electoral Commission guidelines. Any remaining balance will be donated to a registered UK charity, ensuring no personal financial gain is derived from campaign contributions.
