2026 is our chance for change! We can win in Edinburgh Northern but I need your help
I’m standing as the Scottish Labour candidate for Edinburgh Northern—and I need your help to win.
Our community is at a crossroads. For too long, the families of Edinburgh Northern have been let down by an SNP government that has presided over a housing emergency, a broken social care system, and falling standards in our schools.
I’m not just a politician; I’m a neighbour. I’ve lived here for a decade. I’ve raised my family here. And I’ve seen firsthand how the system is failing those who need it most.
Why This Campaign Matters
I am running because I have the lived and professional experience to take the fight to the SNP. My journey is rooted in Labour values:
- A Champion for the NHS: As a carer for my disabled daughter and a professional caseworker, I see the "freefall" families face with six-year waiting lists. I will fight for a social care system that treats both the vulnerable and the care workers with dignity.
- An Education Expert: From being a young carer to a PhD graduate via state school scholarships, I know education changes lives. As a qualified primary teacher who has taught in our local schools, I will lead the charge to restore safety, attendance, and attainment.
- A Voice for Safety & Inclusion: I am committed to keeping Scotland a safe, welcoming home for everyone. From youth work to community activism, I know we can do more to make our streets and online spaces safe for women and girls.
Why We Need a Labour Win
Edinburgh Northern needs a candidate who can authentically connect on the doorsteps. I am that candidate. I’ve worked in our local charities, volunteered in our community gardens, and taught our children.
But campaigns require funding. To deliver our message of positive change, we need to fund leaflets, digital outreach, and community events. Every pound you donate goes directly towards building the infrastructure needed to gain this seat for Labour.

Rules
Edinburgh Northern CLP may contact you using the information you supply in order to discharge their legal responsibilities to ensure donations are from permissible sources. Donations to meet the costs of candidate election expenses are regulated by the Representation of the People Act 1983 and the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000. By making a donation to this campaign I understand and accept the following:
- I am donating to the Edinburgh Northern Constituency Labour Party.
- I must use my own funds to make a donation to the Labour Party.
- If I donate more than £500, checks will be made to ensure my name is listed on the UK electoral register (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). Any single donations of £500 or under are not regulated donations under electoral law, and therefore the donor would not be required to be on the UK Electoral Register.
- If I donate more than £2,230 to a Constituency Labour Party or more than £11,180 to the national Labour Party in a calendar year, my name and the amount of the donation will be published on the Electoral Commission’s website, although my home address will not be made public.
- If I am making a donation of more than £50 during the short campaign (the period after the election has been called), checks will be made to ensure my name is included on the UK electoral register (excluding the Isle of Man and Channel Islands which are not permissible sources). My name and the amount I have donated will be included in the candidate return submitted after the election.
- Donations are not tax-deductible.
- This information will be available for public inspection on request, although my home address will not be made public.
