East Kent Railway Trust - Track Fund!

Aim

To replace a large area of wooden sleepers with concretes to ease maintenance for the small band of volunteers and minimise downtime.

The East Kent Railway has nearly 2 miles of track and additional siding space. We need to change our old wooden sleepers in various places with low maintenance concrete ones. Having concrete sleepers will mean the railway is able to operate more with minimal downtime and will release some of our volunteers from persistant track work to be able to undertake other important jobs we need to do. The East Kent Railway is going through some really exciting changes and is developing into an excellent value for money day out for families and enthusiats in East Kent. We have kept our ticket prices low to enable everyone to be able to afford a fun day out but this impacts on what we can achieve ourselves - thats why we need your help.
