Aim
We aim to provide essential protein to refugee children in Greek camps before their little bodies start to shut down. Eggtastic!
Dear friends.
Put your political beliefs to one side. Put your religious beliefs to one side. ..... Over 20 thousand children, infants and babies currently reside in refugee camps in Greece. Yes, they are provided for.....just. The military provide two meals a day. Usually packets of biscuits followed by undercooked rice with a mono sodium glutamate paste. After a while (read weeks, and I'm actually talking months) various things will happen. Children, infants and babies will begin to develop iron deficiency. This is alarmingly quickly followed by an inability to fight off common infections. Little ones will also suffer from protein deficiency.....this causes slow brain development, poor bone development, lethargy and eventually death. Here comes the egg!!..... The perfect product! Families can, and indeed would love to cook it themselves - cooking is a huge part of their culture. It's 100% nutritious. It tastes good and they love it!
An egg, delivered to a refugee camp costs 15p. 15p 15p! Please. If you can afford a few pence for a potentially life changing egg for kids in Europe, please donate. Put your political views to one side and help these little ones. Please. It would be really eggsellant..
