Edinburgh Greens are running our biggest election campaign ever ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections on May 7th. We stand a real shot of winning 3 MSPs in Edinburgh - an unprecedented number.  

Ballot Box Scotland and The National both agree that our top candidate Lorna Slater is the favourite to win the Edinburgh Central constituency and make history as the first Green to win a constituency seat in the Scottish Parliament.

AND - a recent YouGov poll projected the Greens to win 16 MSPs Scotland-wide, overtaking Labour for the first time. In Edinburgh, this could mean we would elect Kate Nevens and Q Manivannan to Holyrood too - who are highest on our great list of candidates: Kayleigh Kinross-O’Neill, Chas Booth, Adam Al-Khateb, Jo Phillips, Mridul Wadhwa, Dan Heap, Astri Kvassnes, Alex Staniforth and Mariusz Cebulski

We need your help to make this a reality

Greens have already had a massive influence in Holyrood, negotiating with the SNP to create free bus travel for young people, boost clean energy, tax the rich, wipe out millions in school meal debt, and much more. Imagine what a bigger group of Green MSPs could do!

However, we are playing on a very uneven field. Reform and their super-rich backers are trying to buy Scottish politics, pouring huge resources into a campaign of hate and hopelessness.

In this election, it’s people power vs billionaires. But we know the Greens can see hope triumph with your help.

Please donate to our crowdfunder to make our campaign a success!

• £750 will pay for a leaflet so that our volunteers can get out to a whole city ward, letting them know about the Greens’ successes in Holyrood and what we will do next.
• £1,500 will pay for our plan to cover Edinburgh Central with highly-visible ‘Vote Green’ posters, showing the electorate there that the Greens can make history and win the seat
• £2,500 will cover our final-stretch voter outreach campaign. Other parties will be spending hard in the last weeks. Our people-powered campaign can counter this, but only with the resources to print tens of thousands of eve-of-poll leaflets. More money will make sure that our volunteers can reach as many voters as possible

A big win in May 2026 will not only contribute to a record-breaking number of Green MSPs elected to Holyrood, it will also set up Edinburgh Greens for crucial City Council elections in May 2027 where the Greens could gain more influence than ever and deliver a greener, fairer Edinburgh.

Please note: if you are kind enough to donate more than £50 to a candidate or £500 to the Scottish Green Party, your name and address will be checked against the electoral register to ensure you are a permissible donor.
Donations over £50 for any individual candidate will appear in the election return and donors over £7,500 will appear on the Electoral Commission website. Multiple donations from the same source will be aggregated for recording and reporting purposes.
