At Edible St Austell's community garden, we're in need of a new tea and tool shed.
About Us
Edible St Austell is a simple idea: we can work together to grow tasty food for everyone. Sometimes it can be hard for people to afford healthy, organic local produce, and not everyone has a garden to grow their own. But if we utilise community spaces and share our skills, St. Austell can be a beautiful edible town; producing food for all residents to enjoy.

Landrew Road Community Garden
After a couple of years working with St Austell Town Council to plant edible trees in public spaces, they offered us Landrew Road Allotments to develop into a community garden. We've worked very hard to clear it of rubbish and make it safe for people. Now we really need a secure shed to store our tools, seeds and refreshments.
The Shed!
We have a quote for £4000 from a local company for a swanky new shed, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan have very generously agreed to fund half of it.
This is a bespoke 10'x15' shed which will serve mainly as a waterproof and secure tool store. But will also be part tea shed, essential for any community group! The shed will also have a big blackboard for garden notes, habitat boxes for bugs and bees, and be used for water collection.
We have also been successful in getting funding for tools from The National Lottery Community Fund. So we're ready to go shopping and fill the shed once it's here.
