If we managed to reach or exceed our stretch target, we could increase the amount available in our hardship fund to support more players and families currently experiencing financial hardship.
Additionally, the amount raised will have a significant impact on the age and quality of the minibus we are able to purchase for our disability and Post-16 education teams.
At his recent Euro 2020 Tik Tok gig held at Portman Road, the home of Ipswich Town Football Club, Ed Sheeran signed this handmade Fender style guitar, adding the comment "play this guitar!" The guitar was made by club electrician, Chris, and all the parts originate from the stadium so it truly is one of a kind!
The BBC wrote an article showcasing the guitar, more information can be found here:

Chris has passed the handmade guitar onto the Ipswich Town Community Trust so we can raise funds to support our work in the local community. The Trust was set up to deliver an innovative range of football and sporting activities, to engage, inspire and develop as many people as possible. We are a registered charity and represent Ipswich Town Football Club within the local and surrounding communities, acting as an extension of the club to engage with local people and make a genuine impact on their lives. We currently engage with over 6,000 young people and vulnerable adults each week.
As with any prize draw, there can only be one winner. But, rest assured, all proceeds raised will be going to 2 great causes! Funds will be utilised to help us achieve two big aims this year.
1) To purchase a 17 seat accessible minibus to support both our adult and youth disability football teams attend matches. Alongside this, to maximise usage, the new minibus would also be used for our youth teams who participate in the JPL league and Post-16 education scholars to attend midweek matches.
2) To set up a Hardship Fund to support any players who wish to participate at any level within our player pathway but are struggling financially to meet the costs. This could cover participation, travel or kit costs. We will utilise an application and approval process with a committee to make decisions on awards throughout the year.
