Our mission

We want to revolutionise gardening and inspire a nation of homegrowers.

We have designed kits perfect for small spaces, balconies and patios to get you growing a range of heritage vegetables, herbs and edible flowers.

You can reduce food waste by harvesting only the food you need and sharing the excess produce with your loved-ones. Plus your food will be grown on your doorstep so no food miles to get it to your plate, and not to mention that it’s always fresh!

Did you know that 1 in 5 young adults actually thought parsnips grew on trees? We have become detached from nature and food. Many people don’t know how food is grown and the incredible variety of edible plants we have.

Supermarkets may be full of perfect vegetables but you will discover first hand that wonky veg is tasty! Nothing beats the satisfaction of harvesting food you have grown from seed. Once you’ve eaten home-grown roast potatoes, you will see exactly what you’ve been missing in those Sunday afternoon roasties. 

Our Vision

We want to see a world where growing food at home is the norm and is accessible for all. We want people to feel connected back to nature and realise the importance of caring for our beloved Mother Nature. We see a future where our growing kits are used to help people start their journey in reconnecting with nature and providing them with an assortment of plants to name and care for.

Our Growing Kits 

We have our mini growing kits to grow your own herbs and edible flowers or purple Brussels Sprouts! Our larger outdoors kits feature coffee sack bags and mix vegetables with herbs and edible flowers. Nothing has to travel very far in business. Our coffee sacks are collected from a local coffee roaster in Nottingham. In the UK, many coffee sacks end up in landfill. We hand-select ones which are made from natural materials like jute and are plastic free. They are all unique and are hand-sewn with natural jute twine to create your perfectly compact growing space. Thanks to the success of our campaign last year, Megan lost her role as Chief Sack Sewer and we employed the amazing Heather in Loughborough to sew the sacks.

Our kits include everything you need to get started, except the compost for your new coffee-sack-turned-grow-bags. Inside each kit will be information on choosing good compost and avoiding peat.

The Team

Why are we crowdfunding?

We ran a successful Crowdfunder campaign last year which enabled us to bring more people on board and get over 100 people growing with our kits in 2021. We are still feeling the effects of Covid & Brexit on our business as we continue not to attend markets and find our product costs increasing. 

As a small business, pre-orders are a massive help when it comes to ordering stock and minimising waste. It also enables us to share the joy of growing at Christmas with vouchers that will then be rewarded with seeds or kit deliveries in Spring 2022.

We have started the process of rebranding but it’s a big task to change all our packaging and we need a new website to boot! We want to make sure we can serve our community better and reach more people.
