No sooner have we got Elswick Community Leisure Centre back up and running after 4 years of being closed, we've had to close temporarily because of Covid-19.
We still need to cover the cost of all our bills during this time, and as a new charity we don't have any reserves to fall back on. We've also faced some additional costs during the lockdown, sadly as a result of some vandalism to the pool whilst we've been closed.
We're determined to keep the pool and leisure centre going, to keep providing social activity, health and fitness and swimming lessons to the local community for years to come.
Any donations, however big or small, will help us cover our costs whilst we have no money coming in, get back on our feet and reopen once it is safe to do so, and keep developing Elswick Community Leisure Centre as a sustainable social enterprise and resource for the whole community.
