East London Boxing Academy Facility Improvemment

Aim

Help East London Boxing Academy create a better, more inclusive facility for our community.

East London Boxing Academy (ELBA) is a grassroots community boxing club in East London. For years, we have provided a safe and welcoming environment where young people and adults can build fitness, confidence, discipline and resilience through boxing.

We now have an opportunity to make a major improvement to our facility by renovating our toilets and changing-room area and creating dedicated female changing facilities.

This project is about much more than improving a building. We want more women and girls to feel comfortable, respected and confident when accessing sport. Having appropriate, dedicated changing facilities will remove an important barrier to participation and allow us to welcome more female members to our club.

We are delighted to have secured a conditional £6,500 award from Sport England's Movement Fund towards the facility improvements. This is a fantastic start, but we need to raise a further £13,500 to reach the full £20,000 required to complete the project.

This is where we need our community's help.

Every donation will help us improve East London Boxing Academy and create a more welcoming, inclusive facility for our community.

The money raised will contribute towards the renovation of our toilets and changing-room facilities, including the creation of dedicated female changing facilities.

These improvements will help us provide a cleaner, safer and more suitable environment for our members and, importantly, remove a barrier that can prevent women and girls from feeling comfortable participating in sport.

East London Boxing Academy is more than a boxing club we are a community hub. Every week, we provide a safe and welcoming environment where young people and adults can take part in physical activity, develop confidence, discipline and resilience, build friendships and achieve their potential.

Our club supports people from across our local community, including young people, families, women and girls, and people who may face financial or social barriers to participating in sport.

Improving our facilities will allow us to create a more inclusive, accessible and welcoming environment, particularly for female participants. Dedicated female changing facilities will give more women and girls the confidence to participate and help us increase their involvement in boxing and physical activity.

This project is an investment not just in our building, but in the health, wellbeing and future of our community. With your support, we can create a facility that our members can be proud of and that will continue serving East London for years to come.
