East Bierley Cricket Club Refurbishment Programme

Aim

Our Aim To repair our leaking roof, renovate our outdated clubhouse, toilet facilities and improve our bar area. Increase member enjoyment.

What is our Project? 

We are seeking to upgrade our outdated facilities and become a true club for our community by providing a fully refurbished clubhouse which will include :

• Improved access and toilets to include better facilities for the disabled and our elder members.
• New flooring laid throughout
• New bar with state of the art EPOS system to allow card payments
• New furniture, upholstery and soft furnishings
• Facilities for the Umpires

East Bierley Cricket Club has 453 members and runs 2 senior teams and a youth section at U11 and U15. We aim to arrest the decline in youth cricket within our area and develop a new U9 youth team in 2017. We want to provide facilities that are accessible to all, thus enabling the game of cricket to be a sport that can be enjoyed by all the community.

We want better facilities for the next generation – so that our future generation of cricketers at East Bierley Cricket Club enjoy the sense of passion and determination for Premier League Cricket.

How can you help ? 

The overall cost of our project is in the region of £75,000. We need to demonstrate our commitment to this project by raising a proportion of the costs ourselves.

Cricket has been played at East Bierley Cricket Club for over 150 years, the last 40 being in the Premier Division of the Bradford Cricket League. It has given many wonderful moments and memories.

Our Club motto is “Res non Verba” – Actions not words – and our Crowdfunding is run by a team of people who not only love the game of cricket – they also love their club.

East Bierley Cricket Club has been at the centre of the village for over 150 years and this project will ensure it remains so for many years to come,
