To support disadvantaged young people into great, long-lasting employment by giving them vital employability skills.

Get Set Girls is a youth club catering for disadvantaged young people between the ages of 16 and 19. We provide them with training, skills, social activities and personal growth in a culturally appropriate environment so that when they go out into the adult world they will have:
We achieve this by developing annual programmes that include social activities, team building initiatives, lectures and workshops, volunteering programmes, trips and by providing a wide range of training and skills courses ranging from computer skills, childcare, numeracy and literacy to work skills, customer services and first aid which can lead to qualifications.

We want to give disadvantaged 16-19 year olds the fundamental career skills and qualities to ensure they access great and long-lasting employment that pays. We have therefore designed a series of 6 fun workshops including group work, displays, skits, reports and speeches, helping them learn:
1. Employment procedures, CV writing, interview skills, and how to identify suitable job opportunities
2. Interpersonal Skills Course covering communication skills, effective listening, and relating to superiors and colleagues in a work environment.

By supporting this fantastic initiative, you will ensure that disadvantaged young people:
a. Are motivated to achieve employment, job security and a constructive future
b. Gain essential skills to empower them to enter employment
c. Achieve confidence, self-esteem and motivation.
d. Transition into successful employment
