Our Story
If you are from Warrington, I imagine you are familiar with us, if not here's our story. It began with a passion for everything geeky and a love of a food. One day we decided to combine the two and Cafe at the end of the universe was born. Originally we invested in a van and started doing events and comic cons. in 2015/2016 we could be seen at events like Manchester anime con, the love of sci fi, and all sorts of celebration events from weddings to birthdays. We ended up doing a comic con in Warrington in 2016 and that's when we were convinced that the new market development would be a great place to continue our adventure.
We opened our sister dessert business two years later (thanks to some cash raised on this platform). in 2020 we moved into the cookhouse in the brand new Warrington market highlights from the past 5 years include twice being finalists in the British takeaway awards. Awards we did manage to win include best independent business in Warrington, Best customer service and best burger in Warrington. We have had visits from influential youtubers such as Beardmeatsfood, and Danny from Rate my takeaway said the Kevin Bacon burger was the best burger he'd ever had. in 2022 we opened a dark kitchen to help with the demand for a delivery option for our food.

Whats next?
We have been looking for our next project for a while, we had two concepts we loved and it was just a matter of finding the right opportunity. So introducing our new American inspired gastropub the EAGLE & SPACEMAN. Think American pub food and bar snacks, combined with American beer and spirits.
Rewards
The main point we want to get across is that we arent asking for anything for free, any contribustions will be rewarded with something of equal value. So if you give £20 you can get a £20 voucher to spend when we open, if you spend £40 you can get an afternoon tea for two etc The whole point is this helps us with cashflow and gets us some money up front which will be returned in the form of goods or services once we are open. youll have 6 months to collect any rewards once we open
how much?
We are looking to raise 20k we costed everything out at about 60k so if we can raise 20k through crowdfunding then we can get 1/3 in the form of loans and 1/3 our own money
what's the risk?
the risk for the business is the same as any hospitality business at the moment. We know from our current businesses that even when we are very busy it's difficult to make any money due to the high cost of everything. however this business does offer us an opportunity to run a business without some of the large costs of our other business and drinks sales will hopeful;ly make the difference too.
what happens if you don't reach the 20k?
the great thing about crowdfunder is unlike other platforms, its not all or nothing, so anything we can raise will help us out. Obviously we would love to hit the 20k but if we don't we just have to borrow a little more, the plan still goes ahead

If you cant give any money now, or none of our rewards aren't to your liking (are you mad?) there are lots of ways you can help, you can like and share any posts about it. You can reach out to us to see if there's any other way to help. We are also looking for people to help us complete all the work we are getting done
what do you need?
We'll need the following works completing, this work will of course be paid but if you know someone who can help us out get in touch. we need:
electricians, designers, painters, artists
are you hiring?
of course. we'll be recruiting a bar manager, bar staff, servers, ,kitchen staff, cleaners etc if you are interested in any of these roles or know someone who would be suitable please get in touch

meat lovers pizza spring rolls - deep fried spring rolls filled with a mix or sausage meat, beef, pepperoni, tomatoes and mozzerella
jalapeno and cheddar cornbread - housemade bread with a garlic aioli dipping sauce
deep fried pickles with a chipotle ranch sauce
Philly cheesesteak sandwich, thin sliced rib eye fried with onions and peppers topped with melted cheese and a cheese sauce
chicken fried steak - pounded steak coated in our special seasoning and fried (no chicken involved) sausage gravy, mash and biscuits

We plan to stick a range of American beers and whiskeys such as Samuel Adams, Sierra Nevada, Blue moon etc aswell as lots of smaller US breweries
