The Cause: "Dyfi Groms" film project
"Dyfi Groms" tells the story of the diverse mountain biking community in the Dyfi Valley around Machynlleth in Mid-Wales through the eyes of the young riders. Following a few key people, the film showcases how mountain biking connects different generations, brings joy and community as well as offering opportunities for employment.
The bilingual film (Welsh/English) explores the roots of mountain biking in the Dyfi Valley and illustrates how it became a world-class riding destination, winning the "Best UK Riding Destination" (Singletrack World Awards 2023).
Production of the film started in April 2024 and is ongoing. Trailrippers Project CIC is running this Prize Draw to give everyone the chance to support their second film and raise the funds to complete production.
Directed by Ashley Leung from Tiny House Creatives, "Dyfi Groms" promises to be as successful as the Trailrippers' first venture into film making: "Flow", which won multiple awards and was viewed across the world.
