We're still collecting donations
On the 17th July 2023 we'd raised £1,291 with 62 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Get the ducks swimming on our pond again! Provide cooler quarters for the bunnies to chill in!

On the 17th July 2023 we'd raised £1,291 with 62 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Pets Corner has been run by a small band of dedicated volunteers since 2014 and we survive on visitors to the park's donations and our own fundraising stalls. However, we currently have two problems where we need a bigger injection of funds and are appealing for your help.
In recent years bird flu restrictions have meant keeping our chickens and ducks undercover during the winter and even now in summer, they are not allowing access to our pond (where our 9 ducks used to swim happily) as it has to be netted off to prevent wild birds/fowl from also using the pond (and potentially bring in disease). We need to purchase equipment (netting and wooden struts) to net over the pond area and allow the ducks access to swim again. We will contribute the labour ourselves from our volunteers and friends. £2,000
Secondly climate change means when it gets hot or too cold, our bunnies have to be moved off site into a volunteer's home. This has happened 3 times in the last few months and is very disappointing to our park visitors. Last July the temperature in Manchester hit 37 degrees, the last week was over 30 degrees for 5 days. We need some funds to create a temperature controlled space in the bunny area at Pets Corner, so we can keep them cool in summer and warm in winter. £1,000
Please donate what you can, and consider volunteering with us (must be over 18, or prepared to bring your own adult). Thank you from the feathered and furry ones.
