On Saturday 3 October 2026, the Dreamscape community is heading to the Kinder / Edale area of the Peak District for the Dreamscape Peaks Challenge 2026.

Some of us are aiming for the full 12KM.

For others, their challenge may be 1KM, 3KM or 6KM.

This isn’t about who walks the fastest or furthest.

It’s about people challenging themselves, together, for their community.

And our team is still growing.

💜 WHY ARE WE RAISING £1,500?

Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. creates welcoming, low-pressure opportunities for people who may feel isolated, anxious, neurodivergent, lacking confidence, struggling socially or simply unsure where they fit.

There’s no diagnosis needed.
No referral needed.
No expectation to explain why you’re there.

We want people to have somewhere they can belong, connect and take part at their own pace.

Money raised through this challenge will help us continue that work, but right now a major focus is something very special:

🎄 A SEAT AT THE CHRISTMAS TABLE

On Sunday 22 November, we’re creating a community Christmas experience in Heanor designed around one simple idea:

Nobody should feel like there isn’t a place for them at the table.

People will be able to come alone, with family, with friends, with a carer or with somebody they support.

We’re planning a day including a Christmas meal, activities, entertainment, Santa and his elf, gifts, a quiet/sensory space, remembrance, a Christmas film experience, hot chocolate and lots of little touches designed to make people feel included.

Your donations can help us pay towards the food, venue, activities and materials, sensory provision, decorations, entertainment, gifts, film costs, printing, equipment and all the other things needed to bring the day together.

❤️ FOR SOMEONE WHO SHOULD BE SAT BESIDE US

Christmas can also make the empty spaces around a table feel even bigger.

Some people coming through our doors will be grieving somebody who should still be sitting beside them.

That’s why A Seat at the Christmas Table will also include a special remembrance element — “Those Who Should Be Sat Beside Us.”

A space to remember the people we carry with us, even when their chair is empty.

Because belonging at Christmas isn’t only about who is sitting around the table.

It’s also about remembering who should have been there.

💜 WHO COULD YOUR DONATION HELP?

It could help someone who has been isolated for months find the courage to walk through the door.

Someone who finds traditional social events overwhelming.

Someone who is neurodivergent and needs somewhere they can step away without judgement.

Someone coming alone because they don’t have a big circle around them.

A carer who rarely gets the opportunity to simply enjoy something alongside the person they support.

A family that needs an affordable way to make Christmas memories.

Or somebody grieving a person who should still be beside them.

There is no single “type” of person Dreamscape is for.

We’re creating community for people who need community.

🥾 Why the Peaks Challenge?

Because a challenge shouldn’t only count when somebody reaches the summit.

For one person, completing 12KM could be an incredible achievement.

For another, walking their first kilometre could take just as much courage.

That’s why there’s no individual leaderboard and no pressure to compete.

We’ll walk together.
We’ll encourage each other.
We’ll celebrate what each person achieves.

💷 Our target: £1,500

We now have 10 people taking part and counting.

If all 10 complete the full distance, that’s potentially 120KM walked for our community.

But whether somebody completes 1KM or 12KM, every step counts.

And whether you can give £2, £5, £10, £25 or more, every donation counts too.

We’re not walking against each other.

We’re walking for each other. 💜

And hopefully, every step takes us a little closer to making sure somebody has A Seat at the Christmas Table. 🎄
