WE DID IT! THANKS TO SOME OFFLINE DONATIONS, WE MADE IT TO £20,025! THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!
What have we got?
We've received the promise of an anonymous donation of £10,000 if we can match it from donations from our members and supporters. If every member and supporter gives £15 then we'll reach the target straight away!
Herefordshire has had seven Green councillors since 2019. They've helped hold a climate citizens assembly, supported local businesses with Shop Local, funded free buses at the weekends, committed to the first new council housing in a generation which will be zero carbon of course, sorted out market town investment plans, boosted the visitor economy and so much more. Ellie Chowns, Diana Toynbee, Felicity Norman, Jeremy Milln, Trish Marsh, Toni Fagan and Jenny Bartlett are all working so hard for their residents and for our county.
What do we want?
Imagine how much more we could do with fourteen Green councillors in 2023! We need them to keep up the pressure to help save our rivers from pollution, build those affordable low carbon homes and update our existing homes to be warm and affordable to run too.
And with those councillors in place we'll be in the strongest position to double our vote share, or more, at the next General Election. Challenging Bill Wiggin and bringing an exciting new vision for Herefordshire that everyone can be proud of.
How are we going to get there?
We've already raised over £20,000 and grown the staff team in Herefordshire so the foundations are in place. Now it's time to make sure we can deliver leaflets to all 44,000 homes in North Herefordshire and boost our social media impact so everyone sees our positive messages of action and hope.
