All donations will support our core services providing direct support to young people as they move on from homelessness.

Founded in 1997 in response to a lack of services available for homeless young people, aged 16-25. We work across Warwickshire and specialise in working in communities where poverty and long-term unemployment have resulted in generations of social exclusion and high rates of homelessness.

Doorway has a drop-in centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire for 16 to 25-year old’s who are homeless, threatened with homelessness or insecurely housed.  We provide help with housing, money advice, vital practical and emotional support and development opportunities to help vulnerable young people move from crisis to independence. The drop in centre has computer access for young people.

In the last year we saw:

  • an 8% rise in the number of referrals to Doorway including a 52% increase in the number of young people referred from outside Warwickshrie
  • 214 young people referred themselves to Doorway, this is more than half of our total referrals.
  • 93% of the young people who lived in our accommodation had a positive move on experience
  • 31 care experienced individuals were supported to acquire skills for independent living

Money raised from this campaign will support our core advice and support services. These services work directly with young people to meet their individual needs appropriate to their personalities and situations and we strive to find better, more inventive ways to empower young people. These services are key to ensuring that young people who are homeless can look forward with optimism, raise their aspirations and improve their quality of life.
