We will be walking from Durdle Door in Dorset, ending up at the Tower of London. In aid of- Brain Tumour Research Radio DGH Chaseley Trust

Hi 👋😃
My name is Scott Temple
Soon I will be taking on an Ultimate Hike Challenge 🤠
Myself and 4 others are going to embark on a challenge of a lifetime soon!
From Durdle Door (Dorset) to the Tower of London Door (Door 2 Door)
Raising money and awareness for 3 fantastic charities 😁
Brain Tumour Research
Radio DGH
And The Chaseley Trust ☺️
These charities are dear to my heart.
In 2020, I suffered with a brain tumour, thankfully the operation went well and they got it out. Unfortunately, they had to take out my top 2 bones out of my neck.
Ever since, I have been suffering with a lot of pain and problems to my neck, shoulders, arms and back. Also recently been diagnosed with Articular Sclerosis in my left foot, this has made the challenge of 140 miles, a lot more challenging.
I have done a few things with Brain Tumour Research, they are a fantastic charity. All the money goes straight into the research.
One in three people in the UK knows someone affected by a brain tumour. This disease is indiscriminate; it can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, brain tumours continue to kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet, to date, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease since records began in 2002.
Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.
I volunteer at the Eastbourne Hospital as a radio presenter for Radio DGH. They are also a charity and do a lot for the people that spend a day, week or months at the hospital. Now we also can be heard outside the hospital, meaning the patients can take us home with them (in a sense 😂) We are a unique radio station, all the presenters are volunteers and host their own style of show. Lots of variety, not just one genre (like most stations) Radio DGH relies on the public to keep running. We have a fantastic team, not just the presenters, also the team behind the scenes 🤘😎
I worked at Chaseley for almost 5 years, I absolutely loved working there, the staff and specially the residents!
Chaseley is a 55-bed nursing home, owned by a charitable organization.
Thier specialisation lies in providing long-term nursing care for individuals facing complex neuro-disabilities, including Acquired and Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, and Degenerative Neurological Conditions such as Huntington’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Motor Neurone disease.
We will need to hire a vehicle, pay for petrol. Cheap accommodation or campsite, if we can wild camp along the way.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated!
