We need your help to elect Green Party councillors in Reading at the 7 May 2026 council elections. Donations will be doubled.
Please donate to pay for campaigning leaflets to encourage people to vote for us in May. This will help us gain councillors, including defeating Reform and hold the Labour-run council to account. We will also be better able to campaign on inequality, the environment and peace.
Donate to pay for tried and tested campaigning leaflets – we can win
With our tried and tested campaigning we recently overtook the Conservatives on Reading Borough Council and we are now the main opposition party. There are more Green councillors than Conservatives, Lib Dems and Reform combined.
Greens are higher than ever in the opinion polls. This is our best ever opportunity to elect more Greens in Reading building towards a Green MP for Reading Central.
However, some of our wards could be very close. A few years ago in Redlands there were just 10 votes in it. Printing an extra leaflet could be the difference between winning and losing. Please donate to pay for campaigning leaflets.
Your donation will be doubled
A generous supporter has agreed to double every donation made up to £750. So if you donate £20 it will make £40 of impact. If everyone gives what they can we hope we’ll be able to raise £1500+.
The small print
All money raised will go to a general campaigning fund managed by Reading and Wokingham Green Party, and not to individual candidates. This is a general-purpose fund for election campaigning at all levels.
If your donation is over £500 you need to be on the electoral register and we will need to know your name and address. Should you have any questions then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us as the project owner.
