Everyone On Boards Foundation ( EOB ) is an award-winning non-profit empowering young people and families through skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing.
Founded in 2020 by Agnieszka Aga Wood, our organisation focuses on inclusion, sustainability, and social impact. We use board sports as a tool for engagement, confidence-building, and social cohesion while championing social justice and gender inequality. EOB is rooted in East London and community-led, ensuring marginalized voices, especially BPOC youth and children from deprived areas, are heard and uplifted. We have spent the past five years building a thriving skateboarding community, ensuring that young people, especially girls, feel empowered to take part and be the faces of change.
We stand for Community, Culture, and Planet - breaking barriers to board sports and making action sports less exclusive and more inclusive for everyone, regardless of background, gender, or circumstances, so that we can ride, learn, grow, and thrive together.
For the Docklands on Boards initiative, we are collaborating with students from the University of East London (UEL) to transform the way people interact with open spaces on campus. Together, we are building a bridge between students and local residents, creating a shared space where people from diverse backgrounds can connect through skateboarding.
The Vision
Docklands on Boards is more than just a skateboarding initiative; it’s about reimagining underutilized spaces, fostering community, and encouraging movement and creativity. The University of East London campus sits in the heart of a rapidly evolving area, yet there remains a disconnect between the students and the wider community. We aim to change that by turning these open spaces into dynamic, inclusive environments where skateboarding becomes a tool for connection, empowerment, and social engagement.
We believe that skateboarding has the power to break down social barriers. It’s an accessible, low-cost activity that brings people together, encouraging collaboration and mutual support. Through this project, we aim to create an environment where residents and students can interact, share experiences, and develop a sense of belonging.
How We Will Use the Funds
The funding we raise will be directly invested into making Docklands on Boards a sustainable, impactful initiative. Here’s how we will allocate the resources:
- Skate-able Architecture – We will develop temporary yet durable skate features that transform unused areas into vibrant, functional spaces. These structures will be designed in collaboration with students, ensuring they reflect the creative energy of the community.
- Free Skateboarding Lessons & Workshops – We will offer professional coaching to make skateboarding accessible to beginners, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. This will include structured sessions for young people, families, and students.
- Community Events & Activations – We will host engaging events that bring together skaters, artists, and creatives from across London. These events will celebrate skate culture, promote active lifestyles, and foster a sense of belonging.
- Safety Gear & Equipment – To ensure accessibility for all, we will provide skateboards, helmets, and protective gear for those who need them, removing financial barriers to participation.
- Long-Term Sustainability & Growth – We aim to create a model that can be replicated in other university campuses and public spaces, demonstrating the power of skateboarding to transform communities.
Why Now?
The Docklands area is experiencing rapid development, and now is the perfect time to shape the way open spaces are used. With universities increasingly focusing on student well-being and community engagement, this initiative presents an opportunity to redefine how we think about public spaces. By launching Docklands on Boards now, we can establish an inclusive, forward-thinking model that prioritizes people over infrastructure, fostering a lasting impact for years to come.
