Macmillan Cancer Support raises money to provide vital cancer services, research and campaign for better cancer care. They also support the cancer workforce.
They provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience. They provide emotional, practical, physical and financial support. They'll do whatever it takes, no matter what a person's needs are, they will listen and support them however they need, big or small.
They provide healthcare professionals with up-to-date resources, tools, information and training courses to help them better support people living with cancer.
In 2021 they reached 2.4 million people affected by cancer, including 103,000 people via the Macmillan Support Line, and carried out 44,000 Electronic Holistic Needs Assessments.
The Dr. Martens Foundation is an independent grant-making organisation, founded in 2021 by our corporate sponsor Dr. Martens Plc. Its people and customers, who have adopted and embodied the brands spirit, are social justice warriors who want to make a difference for marginalised and impoverished people across the globe. This is why the Dr. Martens Foundation aims to be a champion of social justice and good.
The Foundation has two focus areas, which is our approach to advancing social justice. We do this through supporting and invigorating civil society by providing grassroot grants and changing systems and narratives with our larger grants programme Right to Be.
The DM Foundation cares about social justice in all its forms. We believe that the social injustices prevalent in our society can be solved with the right amount of political will and resources.
We want to see a society where people can participate in society, have the resources they need to thrive in life and are free to be themselves. That’s why we don’t discriminate when it comes to the issues we care about. Our social justice principles are rooted in the following four pillars:
Since its inception in 2021 the DM Foundation have made 70 grants globally with around £3m committed so far. Let’s help our foundation support more charities and people in need.
