To raise money to support the publication of a beautifully produced book comprising writing and images inspired by Diving Dream.
Last year, Charlie Watson, Voice Project bass anchorman and publisher, approached us with the idea of creating a book that could complement a Voice Project performance and be the focus for some much-needed fundraising.
Diving Dream will be a beautifully produced book centred on the choral performance of the same name that took place at the Octagon Chapel in Norwich on 24 January 2026. In its pages, six wonderful writers, Caroline Davison, Al Cormack, Fuchsia Garland, Ally Ireson, Orlando Gough and Stuart Hobday will explore aspects of the work that include its origins, the experience of singing, the history and significance of the Octagon Chapel, and the work and ideas of three creative giants – William Blake, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Emily Dickinson – who inspired elements of the show. The essays will be illustrated with stunning photography from Phil Sayer, Simon Parker, Paul Harley and Tara Sampy, with examples of William Blake’s own art. Huge thanks go to Charlie Watson and all the writers and photographers who have given their time, creative work and expertise voluntarily, in order to support us.
The money raised for this project will cover production, design and distribution costs, as well as a contribution to the running costs of The Voice Project.
