DIVERSIFI is a 2027 financial freedom conference helping BIPOC communities build wealth through investing, entrepreneurship and ownership.
We are building the financial freedom conference our communities deserve.
DIVERSIFI is a new financial freedom conference created specifically for BIPOC communities who are ready to build wealth, increase their income, invest, start and grow businesses, and create more options for themselves and their families.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 to bring the inaugural DIVERSIFI conference to life in Fall 2027.
Because information about building wealth is everywhere.
Access is not.
Too many of us grew up in families where investing was never discussed, entrepreneurship felt risky, homeownership was treated as the ultimate financial goal, and financial independence was something that seemed reserved for people who did not look like us.
Meanwhile, many traditional financial conferences, business events and wealth-building spaces still fail to reflect the experiences, cultures and realities of BIPOC communities.
DIVERSIFI is being created to change that.
What is DIVERSIFI?
DIVERSIFI will be an immersive financial freedom experience bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, investors, creators and wealth builders for honest conversations and practical education around the many ways we can create wealth.
We envision a conference where attendees can learn about topics including:

We want DIVERSIFI to become a place where relationships are built.
Where someone meets their future business partner.
Where an aspiring investor finally understands how to make their first investment.
Where a founder meets the person who helps them take their company to the next level.
Where someone who has never seen financial freedom modeled by people who look like them suddenly realizes, "Wait. This is possible for me too."
Why I’m creating it
I’m Jannese Torres, the founder of Yo Quiero Dinero, a personal finance platform dedicated to helping people create more income, invest and pursue financial independence.
I did not grow up learning how to build wealth.
I learned as an adult.
What started as my own journey to understand money eventually helped me completely redesign my life. I built multiple income streams, became an investor and entrepreneur, created a multimillion-dollar online business, and reached financial independence after leaving my corporate career.
Through Yo Quiero Dinero, my podcast, book, courses, events and online community, I have spent years teaching financial education to communities that are too often left out of traditional conversations about wealth.
And one thing has become incredibly clear:
People do not just need more financial information. We need more spaces where building wealth feels possible, relevant and culturally connected to our lives.
I have attended conferences that made me dream bigger.
I have also attended rooms where very few people looked like me.
DIVERSIFI is my opportunity to build the room I wish more of us had access to.
Why DIVERSIFI matters
For many BIPOC families, becoming financially independent does not simply change one person's life.
It can change the trajectory of an entire family.
It can mean helping parents retire.
Buying the first investment property in the family.
Starting a business.
Funding a child's education.
Leaving an unhealthy job.
Having the financial ability to walk away from situations you no longer want to tolerate.
Creating assets that can be passed to the next generation.
And perhaps most importantly, it gives people choices.
That is what financial freedom means to us.
Not money for the sake of having more money.
Money as a tool for agency, opportunity and ownership.
What your contribution will fund
Our goal is to bring the inaugural DIVERSIFI conference to Puerto Rico in 2027 and create a financial freedom experience that centers BIPOC communities from the ground up.
The $100,000 crowdfunding goal will help cover the major upfront costs required to produce the event at a high level.
$25,000: Puerto Rico Venue + Event Space
Securing a high-quality venue in Puerto Rico that can accommodate our main stage programming, workshops, networking spaces, vendors and attendees.
$20,000: Production + Audio/Visual
Stage production, sound, lighting, screens, microphones, recording, livestream capabilities and the technical team required to create a professional conference experience.
$15,000: Speakers + Facilitators
We believe experts should be compensated for their time, knowledge and expertise. These funds will help us pay speakers, workshop leaders and facilitators.
$10,000: Scholarships + Accessible Tickets
We want financial barriers to keep as few people as possible out of the room. A portion of the fund will support scholarships and subsidized admission.
$10,000: Event Staffing + Safety + Accessibility
Registration support, event staff, security, accessibility services and the people behind the scenes who make a large-scale event run smoothly.
$8,000: Marketing + Community Outreach
Advertising, promotional materials, partnerships, media outreach and campaigns designed to reach BIPOC communities across Puerto Rico, the U.S. and beyond.
$5,000: Technology + Attendee Experience
Registration technology, event software, educational resources, signage, materials and tools attendees will use throughout the conference.
$4,000: Insurance + Permits + Administrative Costs
Event insurance, permits, payment processing, legal and administrative expenses required to produce the conference responsibly in Puerto Rico.
$3,000: Contingency Fund
Because live events come with surprises. This gives us a cushion for unexpected production, venue or operational costs.
Total: $100,000
Puerto Rico is not just a backdrop for DIVERSIFI.
The goal is to create a destination experience rooted in culture, community, ownership and possibility.
We want attendees to come to Puerto Rico to learn about building wealth, connect with other BIPOC wealth builders, support local businesses and experience what financial freedom can look like beyond the traditional conference ballroom.
This campaign is about building something our communities can be proud of.
A room where we are not an afterthought.
A conference where our experiences are centered.
Our vision is for DIVERSIFI to become an annual gathering where BIPOC wealth builders come together to learn, connect, collaborate and expand what financial freedom can look like for our communities.
We want thousands of people over the coming years to leave DIVERSIFI with greater financial confidence, stronger networks and an actionable plan for building wealth.
Because wealth should not feel like a secret club.
Financial freedom should not belong to one demographic.
And our communities deserve more than being told to survive financial systems that were not designed with us in mind.
We deserve the knowledge and resources to build something different.
