Aim

To create an indoor Motocross facility, suited to all abilities from beginner to pro, to be used year round.

Dirt Shack is a dream shared by two individuals who build MX, MTB and BMX tracks for a living.

Dirt Shack founders Rob Wareham and Chris Rose struck a friendship on the mutual love of everything two wheels and the dream of opening an 'actions sports' facility of their own.

Chris Rose was one of the first Freestyle Motocross riders to emerge from the UK, riding shows all over the country - more recently has built and established Rocketworld as one of the best Motocross facilities in the South of England. Rob Wareham spent many years in Canada, US and Europe riding, racing, coaching and building mountain bike trails. As well as a cycle shop manager, was part of the production crew for the Red Bull Pro Nationals, Arenacross UK and Red Bull Empire of Dirt.

Over the last few years we have been trying to find a existing building to create an indoor Motocross, Mountain bike and BMX facility. Trying to find an existing building the right size, in a location which suits this kind of proposal and on a budget that would make this project financially viable has been impossible so far. We feel the only way for this project to work is to build a purpose built facility to elimate rental costs and make Dirt Shack happen rapidly.

We have already secured 2 acres of land by the existing motocross track of Rocketworld on Henstridge Airfield in South Somerset and are asking for the help of you the public. Although we already have some amazing people involved with this project, we need to raise the extra funds for the building.

This is just a small part of what we are trying to achieve. In the first 6-10 months of Dirt Shack opening, we are going to concentrate on the indoor arenacross track.

By the end of year one we will add:

• Indoor BMX/MTB trails
• Electric bikes suitable for kids and adults - to use indoors & on the outdoor Motocross and Enduro track
• Training schools with Pro riders

With the existing Motocross track, enduro loop, FMX setup, MTB/BMX dirt jumps, pump track and lake to be used for watersports - adding Dirt Shack will make this a truely unique action sports facility in the UK. 

As well as donations and pledges - we are offering advertising opportunities at Dirt Shack. We can advertise your business in the form of banners and logos in the building, branded tuff blocks (foam blocks separating the track), public annoncements on social media about your company and it's involvement, using your logo on our website and other promotional material.

As well as cash donations we will also take donations in the form of materials or products that can be used for the building.
