Raise funding to start a space for young adults with neurodiversity, mental health issues and disabilities to learn new digital skills.
Welcome to the Digital Repair Café in Milton Keynes. My vision is to create an accessible location in Bletchley to support young adults with mental health issues, neurodiversity conditions and other disabilities learn vital digital skills and people to fix their computers, laptops and other technology.
My kids and I have autism, and one of my sons and I also have ADHD. We understand the challenges both in education and when embarking on professional careers faced by people with our conditions and issues.
In more general terms, the world we live in quickly becomes digital-only with a vast number of people being left behind and unable to do simple things without incurring large costs in both time and money.
We need to champion inclusion, celebrate our differences and unite against the enshittification of our common world wide web. Freedoms like right to repair your own devices, express yourself openly and access key services with confidence are worth protecting or fight for.
Your support will go a long way to help me get this project off the ground, by registering a social enterprise as a community interest business, secure a location and basic equipment.
