Increase participation in rugby for boys and girls in the Ballymoney Area Increase participation in ladies rugby in the Ballymoney Area.

Ballymoney RFC want to be able to offer sport to everyone.
Changes have had to be made to training due to COVID. Training spread out to facilitate social distancing. More smaller groups requiring greater space availability than currently available.
We would hope to meet these areas by
Provide weekly sessions per school (post primary) for age grades U12, U14, U16. This would be provided to boys and girls culminating in a tournament for each age group to be hosted by Ballymoney RFC. This would promote links with Ballymoney RFC and help develop pathways for young players. The sessions would encourage coach recruitment and development creating further CPD opportunities within each school.
In addition, we would hope to participate in all available blitz tournaments hosted by local clubs.
Run several give it try, for the 3 main area we will be focusing on, Boy 12-18, Girls 12-18 and ladies.
Provide additional support for the rapidly expanding girls section of the club.
Solidifying the newly formed U18 section of the club

Ensuring the U12 participation numbers remain historical levels
Support the rural communities and strengthen our cross-community initiatives.
We already have support from several schools through mini rugby, but we are keen to promote rugby in our local primary schools. To ensure that every child is afforded the opportunity to experience and enjoy rugby. This would involve training sessions and blitz fun sessions.
Rugby helps to promote health and mental wellbeing.
We are working hard to attract more playing numbers especially our youth girl and ladies’ section. Current new members this season, 76 Youth girls & 60 adult ladies and growing.

Would like to offer U20 - encourage the transition for schools’ rugby to adult rugby.
