Aim

The Desire Lines Walking Oracle is a deck of cards and portable companion for reflection, intuition and care to navigate changeable times.

This oracle deck is focused on landscape, inclusion and belonging. The idea for these cards grew out of my walking arts practice and took shape while I was making a podcast about walking arts, landscape, inclusion and creative practice alongside my PhD. This deck is a toolkit, grounded in real research and conversations with creative practitioners.

Each card comes with an interpretation and guidance for solo or collective use, across five suites: Creating New Pathways, Relational World Building, Old Stories/New Narratives, Walking/Moving/Making, and Belonging and Dignity. There are also three 'wildcards'.

The companion field guide includes spreads and activities for outdoors, while walking, or at home. The cards don't require you to be able to walk: they can be adapted to different mobilities, locations, indoor or outdoor settings. A cut-out viewfinder is also included, so you can frame a landscape wherever you are.

Because everything needs to fit in a compact box, cards and booklet are necessarily small. A large-format PDF version is also available, with printable cards and an A4-sized guide.

I need to raise £1500 to cover the first print run and project costs. Any extra funds raised and subsequent decks sold after the crowdfunder ends will go towards printing a second edition and making this useful resource more widely available.

There are three tiers: £60 for a bespoke box set, £30 for a deck of cards and £20 for a self-printable version. You can also make a custom donation to support this project at https://ko-fi.com/emilywilkinson.
