Dereham Cricket Club is a long-established, community-focused cricket club in Norfolk, providing competitive and recreational cricket opportunities for players of all ages. The club operates multiple senior and junior teams, delivers coaching and player development programmes, and serves as an important sporting and social hub for the Dereham community.
How Dereham Cricket Club Will Spend the Grant Funding for the Cricket Net Project
The new facility will provide a dedicated training area for Dereham Cricket Club's senior and junior sections, increasing training capacity, supporting player development, and reducing pressure on the main playing square. The facility will also be available for coaching programmes, school partnerships, community cricket initiatives, and recreational use, ensuring long-term benefit to the wider Dereham community.
The investment will create a lasting asset for the club, helping to grow participation in cricket and improve the quality of coaching and practice opportunities for current and future members.
